The Functions of Art in a Global Context (foa-flux) focuses on global and glocal processes, as well as on changes in the (visual) arts.
Foa-flux is a platform for critical reflection, research, and action. We interrelate art practice, art theory, phenomenological studies, and interdisciplinary approaches. This platform contributes to the ongoing re-evalution of given reference systems and to the discussion on art worldwide. Foa-flux collects, generates, and exchanges knowledge in accordance with the need for comparative studies. The platform is structured into different sections, each highlighting specific questions and aspects of the functions of art.
